FPP PALAKKAD RANDONNEURS MILERS-PRM CIRCUIT 100
RULES AND REGULATIONS
Article 1: Sanctioning Authority
Fort Pedallers Palakkad is the organizer of FPP PALAKKAD RANDONNEURS MILERS – (PRM) CIRCUIT 100 (hereinafter referred to as ‘PRM Circuit 100’ or ‘event’) and is designed in the Brevet format. This is an exercise to familiarize with the Brevet format and thereby bring more cyclists to the realm of BRMs.
Article 2: Eligibility
The event is open to any amateur cyclist aged 18 years and above.
Any human-powered vehicle is acceptable.
Riders under 18 years are not allowed.
Article 3: Registration
Riders must fill out the registration form, sign a “waiver of liability,” and pay the registration fee.
Article 4: Insurance
Each rider must be covered by liability insurance, either by a group policy or a personal policy.
Article 5: Responsible Behavior
Riders must abide by all traffic laws and local customs.
This is a self supported event and Fort Pedallers Palakkad and its representatives are not responsible for any accidents during the event.
Article 6: Safety
Helmets are mandatory for the entire event.
Rider numbers must be displayed on the front and rear of the bicycle.
Aero-bars are not allowed.
Article 7: Night Riding
Bicycles must have front and rear lights for night riding, with spare lights and batteries recommended.
Lights must be used from dusk to dawn and during poor visibility conditions.
Riders must wear a reflective vest with reflective material on the front and back.
Non-compliance with night riding rules results in disqualification.
Article 8: Self-sufficiency
Riders must be self-sufficient. No support cars are allowed during the PRM CIRCUIT 100.
Personal support is only allowed at checkpoints.
Article 9: PRM CIRCUIT Card
Riders receive a PRM CIRCUIT CARD at the start, which must be stamped at each checkpoint.
Riders must keep their CARD safe and damage-free.
Article 10: Route
Riders receive a Route Cue Sheet at the start and must stay on the route.
If a road is closed, riders must contact the organizer for a detour or report the deviation at the first opportunity.
Article 11: Unmanned Controls
Riders must get their PRM Circuit Card stamped at designated local establishments or provide digital proof of passage.
Failure to provide proof of passage results in disqualification.
Article 12: Time Limits
The time limit for the 100km event is 07:30 hours.
Riders should arrive at checkpoints between the opening and closing times.
Article 13: Cheating
Cheating includes using motorized transport, drafting behind motorized vehicles, or riding with non-registered cyclists.
Riders must inform officials before quitting the event to avoid disqualification.
Article 14: Event Completion Formalities
Riders must sign and return their PRM Circuit Card to the organizer within 3 days of the event.
PRM Circuit Cards are returned to riders after verification and homologation.
Article 15: Complaints/Queries
Complaints must be submitted in writing within 48 hours of the event finish.
Article 16: Club Discretion
Classifications, awards, and challenges are at the discretion of Fort Pedallers Palakkad.
Article 17: Rider Details and Photographs
By registering, riders consent to the publication of their name, result, and photograph.
Personal information will not be used for commercial purposes.
Fort Pedallers Palakkad will review and forward complaints if necessary.
These rules ensure a safe, fair, and enjoyable experience for all participants in the PRM CIRCUIT 100 event organized by Fort Pedallers Palakkad.
